The Apple Inquiry

We had a wonderful week exploring with apples. We painted apples, counted the seeds, sorted them from biggest to small and sorted them by color. We read the book by Dr. Seuss "10 Apples Up On Top" and decided we should probably try and see if we can balance 10 apples on top of our heads!

Feelings!

We read the Todd Parr book 'Feelings' and decided to create different feelings using loose parts.

Mr. Churchill joined us as 'The Crayon Man'. He read the story "The Crayon Box That Talked" which taught students that every one is unique but by working together they can do great things.

Some great math concepts being introduced this week. The students have been learning to sort, order and count!

Living and Not Living

Our grade 6 Buddy Readers joined us outdoors to find objects that were living and not living. The buddy readers labelled their pictures for them. They sure do love their older buddies!
