Hibernation Station!

Students are learning about animals that hibernate. They are really interested in bears, and of course bear caves. They decided to create one of their own.

Students completed a K, W, L chart which means they write/draw what they know, what they want to know, and what they learned.
Many students knew that bears needed a dark cave to sleep in the winter, they needed rocks, and of course snow outside of the cave.

Students also discussed what a bear eats before entering the cave like; fish, and berries.

Read the Room!

Students take to the classroom to spy out words associated with winter. This is a great activity to do at home with your child when practicing their sight words.

Notice the spy glasses, they are a must!

Clipboards come in handy too!

Wow! Look at all those goodies. A huge thank you to parents/guardians/students who took part in Bellies and Bottoms. These items were donated to local families in need.
