Signs of springs are all around us including bird sightings!

Today's provocations were materials to build binoculars for bird watching. They couldn't forget the string to hang them from their necks! We also made bird nests out of materials we collected outside on our nature walk (twigs/dry grass/leaves/mud)















BIRD WATCHING!









The picture above is two bird nests that was found in the trees from last year. The students got to see how birds use mud and other materials to create the nest. When the students build their own nest with their materials they realized just how hard it is. 'How does a bird do this' , this was a quote from one student today. 


Our nest are on display in our classroom!They did a lovely job. They look good enough to eat!!
