What's new?

We read the story 'What Am I?", it was a guessing game. Students were given hints and they have to guess what object they are describing. For example; what is yellow, round and lives in the sky?

Students created their own versions of what am I?

We finally got to taste a cucumber from our garden! They were yummy! One student wanted to compare her store bought cucumber to our gardens cucumber:)

St.Patrick's activities were fun! We made leprechaun traps... a leprechaun showed up and left behind his hat!

BEACH DAY! May as well just lay out in the 'sun'.

Let's eat healthy! The students are learning to EAT THE RAINBOW! Lots of fruits and vegetables!

Literacy Week, LGT, STEM, Habitats, Hibernation... it has been a busy month!

Literacy Week was a huge success in our school! Our class really enjoyed the fractured fairy tale, "The True Story of The 3 Little Pigs".
After reading both stories we decided to complete a STEM project. Students were placed in groups and each group had different materials to build a house for the pigs. Materials such as straws, sticks, legos, tape, and clay were used. We pretended the fan was the big bad wolf! All four houses were strong enough to withstand the wolf!

During this month we have been learning about animals who hibernate and animals that use camouflage for protection.

What do bears do before they hibernate?

The worms were hungry! We fed them our leftover food, paper and coffee grounds!

Bird habitats!

The peas from the garden were finally ready to pick! They were tasty!

Counting peas in the pods!

How do you feel today?
